What do you like to do during your free time?

Read (fiction only!) and exploring new places to eat.

What is something you cannot do?

I can never watch a horror film because I am too scared. “Why pay to be frightened?”, a quote by my dad I strongly stand by.

How do you start your workday?

I usually make a cup of tea, read the news (mainly to check if there are any big catastrophes!) and then start going through my emails.

What career advice would you give to your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to be more patient and to take more notes!

What do you like to do during your free time?

I love spending time out of the house going for a hike or playing sports with friends before indulging and exploring the place for new food and cafes!

What will you do if you strike a lottery?

Travel the World! (Once we can travel freely again), and start a charity for a cause that I’m really passionate about

Favourite artist/band/song that you can listen on repeat

Led Zeppelin and Guns ‘N’ Roses without a doubt

What would you be if you were not working in this industry?

Probably an Animal Trainer! I’ve always loved animals since young.

What are you most afraid of?
Obsess with the sixpence on the ground and forget to appreciate the moon.

Any special skills/hobbies
As the picture shows, rock the (reinsurance) world by zenning out… In humanly language – pluck the strings, badly!

What surprised you most about this industry?
How much you could always keep learning, both from the business per se and the peers/ counterparties, but the curiosity and fulfilment never dry up.

Describe your best work-related trip
20+ nautical miles away from the Singapore barrage via an obviously overaged barge for investigation onboard a bulk carrier, before the storm could hit us over the sea.

What do you like to do during your free time?
Run and cycle

What will you do if you strike a lottery?
Buy a lodge in Hokkaido and run a ski resort

What is the most interesting you have seen/heard in our industry?
That Lloyd’s used to provide insurance cover for J.Lo’s bum and David Beckham’s legs.

Describe your best work-related trip

When company trips were a thing, my previous company used to have an annual trip to a holiday destination and all APAC colleagues would fly into the same place together. We’ve  done Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia, Taiwan, S Korea. No insurance work was involved during the trip. It really helped make the working relationship more jovial across the offices.
